    This was terrific!

Thank you so much for allowing us to hear Dave to speak freely and honestly in this intimate setting. I have been a fan since his Back to Basics VHS days and have even been lucky enough to do some of his in person master classes back in Sydney where i was working professionally. (early 90s).

I’m still trying to work that stuff out…LOL

Great job on the podcast Zack and what a great interviewer! You make your guests feel comfortable.

    Keep going!!!

    Cheers

I have been a DW fan since about 1986, heard/read lots of interviews and have met him 6 times. This was a very interesting and insightful interview that I didn’t want to end. He always has been highly driven, and it’s that focus that separates the successful from the mediocre. Anyway, thanks again – you did a brilliant job.

Fantastic interview Zack! I have always been a huge fan of Dave’s since the Elektric Band era in the mid-80’s, and have followed his career throughout. From buying a Recording Custom kit in the Cherry Wood finish, to buying Zildjian K’s, and studying his Contemporary Drummer +1 package-I was a Weckl nut!
I have always been especially impressed with his work ethic and found his re-invention after studying with Freddie to be particularly inspiring.
Thanks to you all at The Working Drummer Podcast and for Dave for this interview! It’s great that we have time to work on ourselves as drummers and musicians, and hope that this interview inspires someone else as much as it has me!
